Got Milk?

For poor people in Israel, corona made getting basic food supplies a real struggle. With 1,000,000 people unemployed, many people are unable to provide the proper nutrition for their families.

Thanks to Tnuva (a dairy manufacturer) they can now receive the nutrition they need to thrive. Tnuva has agreed to donate $250,000 in milk products on a weekly basis. Tnuva is a major milk product manufacturing company in Jerusalem and already started to give milk, cottage cheese, yogurts and other milk products weekly. Yad Ezra V’Shulamit then takes these products and distributes them to Israel’s poor.

The gift is warmly welcomed since requests for food baskets has skyrocketed since corona struck in March. There have been over 6,000 new requests for food and we increased our distribution weekly by 58% to keep up with the demand.

To keep the dairy cold, especially on the road, we now need a new, refrigerated truck. These products will be distributed to our 47 distribution points throughout the country! For more information, contact feedisrael@yadezra.net.
