Yad Ezra V'Shulamit distributes over 12,000 food baskets and hundreds of food vouchers every week to the needy across 91 cities in Israel. On Rosh Hashanah and Passover, over 55,000 food baskets are distributed.
With over 1/3 of Israeli children under the poverty line, Yad Ezra V’Shulamit is fighting the battle of hunger in Israel. Take the Winston family. With two incomes they still live under the poverty line with their 4 kids. That means a lot of noodles for meals. Sometimes they even have to decide between medicine for a child or food.

Food Baskets include chicken, fish, fresh fruits, vegetables, nonperishables such as rice, oil and canned goods, dairy products, and various other products (depending on holidays – such as matzah for Passover).
