Providing a Brighter Future: The Expansion of Our Jerusalem Children’s Center

After much anticipation, Yad Ezra V’Shulamit is excited to announce the expansion of our Jerusalem Children’s Center - a new home for underprivileged children in Israel. This expansion allows us to help an additional 100 children living below the poverty line, so we can reach deeper into the community to transform lives.

As part of this expansion, Yad Ezra V’Shulamit has secured a larger building for our center, significantly increasing our ability to help underprivileged children. The new facility will provide these children with meals and an education to nurture and inspire them. Renovations are already underway, and we hope to welcome 200 children into the center by the end of the year. The new center aims to provide these children with an opportunity to experience life without the constraints of poverty.

What Do We Offer?

The new children’s center will be equipped with three classrooms & dining rooms, including a “Healthy Meals Kitchen”, which will provide each child with a nutritious meal every day. This kitchen, as part of Yad Ezra V’Shulamit’s nutrition program, supports their growth and health and aims to provide a feeling of warmth and security to children from low socio-economic families.

Our new children’s center classrooms will enable these children to learn, be engaged, and discover the privilege of receiving a valuable education. Additionally, there will be two therapy rooms, that will provide personalized tutoring and therapy to help each child overcome emotional and educational challenges. Another special room will be added, the Snoezlan room - a sensory-stimulating space that will offer a safe and quiet environment for children so they can meet their specialized therapeutic needs. We believe that these rooms reflect Yad Ezra V’Shulamit’s principles to provide customized support to children in need.

We also aim to provide younger children with a lively Gymboree, that will encourage physical activity, and help them rediscover their youthful enthusiasm and vitality. The center will also provide a cozy library filled with books, that will open their minds to new worlds of knowledge and adventure.
